Welcoming Media

Australia welcomes members of the media to the ASEAN-Australia Special Summit 2018 to be held in Sydney 16 to 18 March 2018.

International Media Centre

A purpose-built International Media Centre (IMC) will provide facilities and services for media outlets covering the Summit. Accredited media will have full access to the IMC and official Summit event footage via media pool arrangements.

The IMC will include five interview rooms and two media conference rooms available for use by all media and delegates. A host broadcaster will provide twice-daily footage of highlights, and a host photographer will provide photos of key events. These services are available free of charge.

Media Accreditation

Applications for media accreditation are closed and there is no guarantee late registrations will be facilitated. Identification documents are required and background checks will be made as part of the media accreditation process.

All media (including online and freelance) must also provide verification with an official Letter of Assignment from a media organisation.

International media please note Australia has in place long-established universal visa arrangements which require all foreign nationals seeking to enter Australia to obtain a visa. You may also require an Admission Temporaire/Temporary Admission (ATA) carnet for the temporary importation media equipment. More information about ATA carnets is available here.
