The Prime Minister of Australia, The Honourable Anthony Albanese MP, and the Prime Minister of Malaysia, The Honourable Dato' Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim, issued a joint statement following the 2nd Australia-Malaysia Annual Leaders’ Meeting.
The government is now operating in accordance with the Guidance on Caretaker Conventions, pending the outcome of the 2025 federal election.
